I recently finished the book “Stress Wisely”, by Dr. Robyne Hanley-Dafoe. I really enjoyed it. Here are some key points from the book that really resonated.

Dr. Hanley-Dafoe talks about the inevitability of stress and how our role is not to try to avoid stress but to work wisely with it. She proceeds to offer a practical framework for living a well life, amidst the chaos and the stress.

“Stressing wisely is a constellation of possibilities for finding the threads of wellness that run through daily life.”, she writes.

She continues, “Commit to being okay in the moment, no matter what, and trust you are okay. This is the bravest way to live your life. Trust yourself and believe in yourself, as you are right now. And then, if the time comes to explore areas of self-improvement, meet that calling with deep compassion and walk gently.”

I read this book very quickly. It’s lovely. I recommend it!

Thank you for reading!
